"For we are God's workmanship, crafted in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10
Is there anything more exciting than the knowledge that the God of the universe wants to work through you? Jesus tells us in John 15:16, "You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit-fruit that will last." We have been commissioned to do a good work!
Being a disciple of Christ means living and sharing God's love and grace in all we do. As a church, Grace is expanding opportunities available for personal encouragement and nourishment needed for spiritual growth - at any age, at any state in their relationship with Christ.
We United Methodists believe that each of us is called to participate in the ministry of Jesus Christ. We believe that each of us-in the pew and in the pulpit-is indeed a minister of God's outreaching love. Grace Church relies on each person to help create a dynamic ministry so the love and grace of Jesus might be better known in our families, church, community and world.
There are many ways to get involved at Grace UMC!

Pilgrimage Healing Process: Pilgrimage Healing is a "hands on" healing process developed by an Episcopal priest, Tanya Beck. Two trained healing partners open themselves to God's healing power and go through a series of prayers and movements allowing God's love to flow into you, while you are relaxing on a massage table. Anyone experiencing physical, emotional or spiritual pain or those wanting to more fully experience God's love and peace are invited to come. Simply make an appointment. If it makes you feel more comfortable, you may bring family members or friends to pray during your session.
To schedule Healing Sessions, or to train to become a Healing Partner, contact Ruth Pavich, pavich@michiana.org or leave a message at the church office 574-288-4789.
The Pilgrimage Process is a healing ministry of love. There is no charge for healing sessions. Donations are gratefully accepted. Your donation supports the work of Grace Church and the Healing Partners.
United Methodist Women: The United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, as well as to develop a creative and supportive fellowship. IN TIMES OF NEED -- PRAYER CHAIN
This service is open to anyone in the congregation who has a prayer request. Once a prayer need is brought forward, a chain of people are notified so that they may lift that need in prayer. If you have a prayer request, you can call Lois Butler at (574) 291-5656 or email her at rwbutlers@juno.com.
The prayer chain is always accepting new members. If you would like to be a part of this ministry, contact Lois Butler.
WEDDINGS
As United Methodists, we believe that marriage is a sacred three-way covenant between the bride, the groom and God. The marriage ceremony is neither a performance nor a social gathering, but a service of worship. With this in mind, the plans you make for your wedding should create an atmosphere of dignity, beauty and good taste. The rule of the scriptures is wise: "Let all things be done decently and in order."
Within these guidelines, the pastors and staff of Grace United Methodist Church want to assist you in making your wedding a meaningful and joyful experience. Contact our Wedding Coordinator for information regarding rates and availability.
