All In Ministry at Grace Church
“For we are God’s workmanship, crafted in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
What is the purpose of the All In Ministry (AIM) program? Why is it important?
Grace Church relies on each person to help create a dynamic ministry so the love and grace of Jesus might be better known in our families, church, community and world.
Is there anything more exciting than the knowledge that the God of the universe wants to work through you? Jesus tells us in John 15:16, “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last.” We have been commissioned to do a good work!
As the church, we have all it takes to do God’s work. We are not only called to serve but we are also gifted (see 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, Ephesians 4:7 & 11-12, and Romans 12:1-8). Only you know what God has called you to do, so AIM is one way you can tell Grace Church how and where you want to serve. No one has to do it all, and it is easy to do what we are called and gifted to do.
How does AIM work?
The AIM form lists known tasks in the church, plus some we’d like to start but are not currently doing. There is also a place to write in any areas where you’d like to serve that are different than those listed. AIM forms may be picked up from the church office and completed forms returned to the office.
Is this the only way I can get involved in the life of the church?
Not at all—this is just one way. You may be asked to help with other activities either by personal contact or notices in the bulletin and newsletter. At any time, feel free to help and participate as you are led.
We United Methodists believe that each of us is called to participate in the ministry of Jesus Christ. We believe that each of us—in the pew and in the pulpit—is indeed a minister of God’s outreaching love.
